Wederendungen is an ongoing illustration project inspired by the Bruegel´s Dutch Proverbs and German "Wimmelbilder" or hidden objects illustrations. It combines my love for illustration with my slightly nerdy passions for everything language related. The Wederendungen turned out to be a poster containing over 250 German proverbs and idioms in one city scene. The location is real, crossing of the streets in Berlin Friedrichshain–where my studio is located, but the characters are all fictious. Ok all but two :) As next I am planning on doing a booklet with all explanations, a puzzle picture, memory card game and more. Check my shop link to see what else is being offered.
