Art Zeppelin is an online exhibition spaces conceived by my colleagues Mladen Bundalo and Dajan Spiric. According to Mladen this online gallery:
"focuses on the research of the potentialities of art-representation in the new medias. The visual structure of the project is based on the simulation of the three-dimensional space that offers an illusion of the free movement inside the e-space. The visitors are also able to interact with the visual contents that are available via hyperlinks. The project re-investigates the web-based curatorial practices, exploitation of the copyleft internet resources and problematizes virtual architecture and its visualisation by means of digital simulation. Therefore, the project also contributes to the established exhibiting strategies such as net-art or audio-video web-streaming. Phenomenology and methodology of the digitally generated space are the main focus of the critical exploration of this project, as well as the position of artists and art inside such formats and the analogies with the habits taken from the real space and the intensity of their interdependence."
With Mladen and Dajan I curated the very first exhibition to be shown in the Zeppelin that we entitled "Imaginary Pavilion of Bosnia and Herzegovina". The concept focused on showcasing imaginary discourses of the Bosnian society and culture. Both the Zeppelin Project and the exhibition were first shown on the occasion of CYNETART Festival for computer-based arts in Hellerau, Dresden. With the help of a small control stick and helmet the visitors were able to move through the rooms of the Zeppelin and observe the 3D rendered objects and interact with them.
